From the same creators as my favorite Plant Nanny – Fourdesire, comes another cute and subtly health-related gaming app called Walkr. As the name implies, walkr is about walking, much like how its sister Plant Nanny is about drinking water. Unlike Plant Nanny though, where the rule of the game is to drink water lest your plant dies, Walkr allows you to play the app whether or not you do much walking.
Blast off into space
Walkr takes place in virtual space where you, the user, are off to discover planets. There is no specific end-goal, but as Star Trek says “Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before.” As the user, the goal of the game is basically to go off and explore planets. But not just to go and explore, it’s to go and find new species and interact with them.
