Because I’ m such a forgetful person, I completely forgot to write a short blog entry on this something that happened last March and April. So please forgive me if this entry is random and just very overdue.
Last March, over dinner with mom at home, she happened to mention this contest that Fully Booked was having for the start of summer. Maybe I’d like to join, she said. So I did.
Fully Booked asked its twitter readers to tweet them with their favorite dream destination, with the hashtag #fullybookedsummer, and they’d pick randomly among the entries for the winners. Prizes included a Fodor luggage tags and It’s a Beautiful World postcards from Lonely Planet. I was really gunning for the postcards since I was into sending postcards abroad, but since you can’t mention which of the two you’d like to win, I was just hoping I’d get it.
Come end of March, I get this tweet from Fully Booked…
@xtauymatiao Hello! You’ve won a Fodor’s Luggage Tag from #fullybookedsummer! Please email lucyscontests@fullybookedonline.com

Of course I was ecstatic! My “winning entry” is as follows, though I sent in the maximum number of entries allowable, three..
My dream destination are the old castles, gardens, chateau’s and chalets of Europe. A real-live fairytale come true! #fullybookedsummer

Last mid-April, I finally had the chance to go to Fully Booked Promenade, where I had the prize transferred to. Of course I didn’t just take the prize and go, I had the gall to ask the Fully Booked staff to take my photo with the prize. Thank you to the Fully Booked Prome staff for acquiescing to my request. Our first picture was even done in poor lighting and the staff told me to move positions so we could have better lighting. Haha.
Wishing I had won those wonderful postcards (I’ve been looking for really nice postcards here!), but am still so ecstatic about this wonderful luggage tag, which I can use when I’m traveling! Recently, I lost two luggage tags during some local traveling. One was a wonderful despedida gift from fellow blogger and friend Achi Fran (Frannwanny) before I left for China in 2010 – which had traveled with me around China during the 2 years I lived there. The other was a Kerropi luggage tag from my mom, which I had asked for when I saw it at Fully Booked back in 2011, which was also with me during my 2-year travels in China. So, here’s looking to the bright side of things.
Thanks again Fully Booked. I love you guys forever! 🙂
