Our favorite time of the year is here again, and that means Christmas music, decor, and of course planners for the upcoming year. With Starbucks’ 2016 we see this amazing partnership between Starbucks and legendary journal and notebook brand Moleskine®. This is I’m sure something a lot of Starbucks planner and Moleskine enthusiasts have been looking forward to since photos of similar planners went online a few months ago. Their partnership has resulted in the Limited Edition Starbucks by Moleskine® 2016 planner.
A quick introduction to Moleskine® (which you can find at your nearest Fully Booked branch) for those who are not familiar with the brand…
Moleskine® is the heir and successor to the legendary notebooks used by artists and thinkers over the past two centuries: among them Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway and Bruce Chatwin.
With this partnership for the 2016 planner, Moleskine® brings over to Starbucks the characteristics that have made their brand a worldwide favorite among artists and writers alike: durability and versatility, simple and straight-forward format, and lots of free spaces to put your thoughts and inspirations into, all the while using acid free paper.
This year’s holidays are made even more special as each planner helps to fund the advocacies of no-profit organizations such as Teach for the Philippines (TFP) and the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA).
With only 8 days to go till planner-collecting season begins, here’s a quick inside look into what to expect for the upcoming Starbucks 2016 planner.
Similar to recent years, the Limited Edition Starbucks by Moleskine® 2016 planner comes in color variants; but what makes its partnership with Moleskine® extra special this year is that it also comes in two sizes. Meet, the weekly and daily planner.

WEEKLY PLANNER
The weekly planner comes in two colors – white and green, and is sized similarly to previous planners. It consists of the whole-month views, followed by pages filled with a weekly list just waiting to be filled up. But unlike the previous 2015 planner, each week is compressed into one page, leaving the adjoining page for notes. At the end of the 12 months, Starbucks has added a few extra pages for note-takers and calligraphers (I say this because it’s similar to the notebook I use for my calligraphy).

DAILY PLANNER
The daily planner comes in two colors as well – red and black. This is the first time that Starbucks planners have gone this small, but for a daily planner this is just about the right size. Each page is equal to one entire day, with the exception of weekends, so that you can fill them with your daily schedules, plans, trips, thoughts, and whatever else you want.

2016 at a glance
Both the weekly and daily planner look amazing – crisp and neat and waiting to be filled up with a lot of beautiful plans and dreams for the year ahead. But before enjoying these beautiful fruits of labor, one has to go through the actual process of drinking and collecting the stamps necessary to earn the limited edition planner.

Here’s what you should know about collecting the Limited Edition Starbucks by Moleskine® 2016 planner…
