Make-up has always been somewhat of a frenemy to me – it’s something that I use but haven’t really gotten used to despite the number of years that I’ve been using the darn things. The eyeliner for example, was only something I started getting used to in college; it happened around the time I started getting into cosplay and the maid cafe project we had at one of my college organizations.
My history with make-up, eyeliners in general, have usually been a hit and miss. I always get liquid eyeliners, and some of the ones I get are easy to use, but they end up clumping together after a few weeks of constant use. Others are both easy to use and have a good steady brush tip, but somehow after a few hours on my face, the eyeliners fade or smudge on the upper part of my double eyelid (whoever said having double eyelids was easy?!). I seriously thought I was never going to find that perfect eyeliner for me.
So last month, after using up my last liquid eyeliner and finding myself without one and heading out of Manila, I found myself at the airport and staring at the MAC shop at NAIA Terminal 3. Now, I usually don’t jump into buying make-up when I’m rushing (like at the airport), but somehow I ended up rush-buying a MAC Eyeliner – which I didn’t even really test out on myself. I can almost hear make-up enthusiasts laughing at this statement of buying make-up without first trying it out.
